Ford&#8217;s CEO Jim Farley said the goal of the new system is to allow drivers to take naps while driving, making the daily commute less stressful. While fully autonomous vehicles aren&#8217;t expected to be profitable anytime soon, the customer demand for semi-autonomous systems like BlueCruise is high. The new technology is still in the early stages and there&#8217;s no timeline for it to be offered to customers.
